MEDAN. Volunteer of Rumah Zakat Indonesia of Medan branch office provided immediate assistance and held medical checked up for the earthquake victims in Mandailing Natal (Madina) of South Sumatera. Although the earthquake was happened few months ago but in the end of February, lot of people still live in the emergency camps. Four volunteers from Medan accompanied by one doctor as medical team brought the assistance for Madina and went on Tuesday (27/2).

The long way should be taken by this team for almost 12 hours, although it exhausted but their spirit always keep on their heart to make the society happy. The relief was distributed on Wednesday (28/2) to the refugee consists of 270 tooth paste, 720 soaps, 396 tooth brush, 60 powder milk, 60 can milk and also 192 women napkins. Meanwhile the relief for prime need consists of sweet 300 kg, 240 nutrient relief cans and also 162 Superqurban meat canned.

The action started at 11 am in the recent location was welcomed by the society over there. The team was facilitated one empty camp for their inn. The medical checked up and the channeling of assistance was done on Wednesday (1/3) and Thursday (2/3) and left some candidate patients didn’t serve well. Due to the limitation time and the assistance then the team should back to Medan city.

Hope this assistance will give enough contribution for half of Madina resident as the care of Rumah Zakat to them from our donor and its partners.
